Two blue and white triple-gourd vases
Kangxi period, ca. 1700, China
The lower globular body with two flower baskets separated by a smaller group of valuables, the second gourd with stylized flowers and the top tier with Buddhist emblems. Marked with a double circle in underglaze blue.

The property of a Dutch nobleman.
Provenance: Johannes Bieruma Oosting (1842-1902) and his wife Cornelia Charlotte Brantsma (1848-1894), by descent to their daughter Agatha Victoria Bieruma Oosting (1875-1968). And by descent to the present owner.
Good condition. No chips or hairlines and no restoration. The unglazed inner top rims may indicate that these originally had covers (lids).
