A Dutch silver teapot

A compressed baluster form with plain panels, engraved with mirror monogram under crown. Detachable conforming cover with wood finial and C-shaped handle. Maker possibly IVS Jan Verschuyl, 1746, Amsterdam. (struck twice or over another makers' mark, see 297, 298 Voet). H. ca 14 cm
