The mahogany case decorated with brass acorn finials and gilded spandrels, the domed top with a swing handle, the silvered dial with Roman numerals, indicating the date and strike-non strike mechanism, with a finely engraved back plate, the original mechanism with two fusees for the striking and going train, a verge escapement and a fixed pendulum, the bell lacking.
