A large celadon yen yen ‘Longevity’ vase with underglaze blue and copper red
Kangxi period, ca. 1700, China
A very fine vase decorated in underglaze blue and copper red on a celadon ground. Showing Shoulao riding a deer with an attendant and Lan Caihe with a basket of flowers, a large pine tree, rocks and cranes. Marked with an underglaze blue double circle. An old paper label stuck to the base.
H 44,5 cm, D 23,5 cm
Two small rim chips and a some glaze imperfections and dust specks in the glaze (manufacturing flaws). No hairlines and no restoration.
