Two blue and white ginger jars
Kangxi period, ca. 1700, China
The pots have been refired causing the blue to darken. With modern wooden replacement lids. Marked with a 'Mandarin mark of honour' within a double circle.
H 26.5 cm (or 30 cm including lid)
Some chipping to unglazed standing rims. Blistering and pops of the glaze, also some yellowing and staining due to refiring.
