A blue and white Transitional ewer
Late Ming/Transitional, probably Chongzhen period, 1628-1644, China
With a curved handle, and decorated with central band of stylized florals and smaller bands of formal ornamentation as well as the typical stylised tulip motif on the neck. Not marked.
H 21.5 cm
An old discoloured hariline in the top and a stress line in the base of the handle. No restoration. Some glaze fritting.
