We would like to refer to an original photograph of George Hendrik Breitner in the collection of the RKD – Nederlands Instituut voor Kunstgeschiedenis, RKDimages (206077). This picture is showing the present painting hanging in the interior of Breitner's house at 227 Overtoom in Amsterdam. Breitner lived on this address between 25 June 1901 and 5 May 1903 (this photograph is not included in this lot).
