Two Nanking ware vases mounted on a brass base

19th century, China

The main body of an ivory white colour with crackle glaze and a central thin brownish black glazed band. Two brownish black glazed molded rings suspended from foo dog heads as handles. Set on bronze pedestal open work bases with gold splash effect. Marked with an underglaze blue four character Xuande mark. The bases drilled for lamp conversion.

H 23 cm (the porcelain part)

Holes drilled through both bases, bases detachable, some firing errors. No restorations.
