An engraved Amsterdam armorial goblet and a small beaker vase

18th century, Germany

A large goblet with faceted baluster stem and engraved with the coat of arms of the city of Amsterdam flanked by two rampant lions and the text ‘De Gude Regering der Stat Amsterd’. Together with a small beaker vase, a so called ‘druivenspoeler’.

Largest glass D 9 cm, H 21,8 cm

The beaker vase with chipping along the base edge. The Amsterdam cup with chipped area along the base of the stem. No other damage.
