[AMSTERDAM] – “PLAN TRES EXACT De La Fameuse Ville Marchande D’Amsterdam [..]”.

Engraved bird’s-eye plan (printed on 2 attached leaves) with cartouche, 2 legends (listing more than 139 items), inset map (“Caarte van Amstelland”) & 2 putti holding a coat-of-arms by H. de Leth. (Published in Amsterdam by H. de Leth, ca. 1735). Ca. 57,5 x 88 cm. Framed (behind glass).

¶ Heinemeijer/ Wagenaar (Amsterdam in kaarten) pp. 82-83. Attractive large-sized plan of Amsterdam engraved & published by the Dutch print-maker Hendrik de Leth (1703-1766). Our version without the engraved coats-of-arms of the burgomasters of Amsterdam (which were printed on 2 separate leaves). – Horizontal & vertical folds, partly waterstained in outer blank margin, sl. foxed/ browned, but nevertheless in an acceptable condition (not examined out of frame).
