First edition of an anonymous Dutch translation of “Histoire des Provinces-Unies des Pays Bas” by the Swiss theologian Jean Le Clerc (1657-1736) profusely illustrated with engravings by i.a. Jan Luyken (1649-1712) & Bernard Picart (1673-1733). – A few small defects (several spine-ends sl. dam./ chipped, bindings partly rubbed/ worn along extremities, 1 fold. map & 1 fold. view sl. torn on folds, a few engravings partly torn in the middle, small portion of lower blank corner of 2 portraits torn off, occ. sl. foxed/ browned), but nevertheless a nicely bound set in good condition.
