J. Goeree and num. engraved text-ills. Small folio (ca. 33 x 20,5 cm.), 18th-cent. unif. blindst. panelled vellum with large blindst. ornament central on both covers, ribbed spine. (2x)

¶ Cf. Lipperheide 130 (listing the German edition publ. in 1704). Complete set of the rare first & only Dutch translation by Isaac Le Long (1683-1762) of a comprehensive work on the history of the religion & customs of the Jewish people by the German minister Johannes Lundius (1638-1686) edited by the Dutch minister Gerardus Outhof (1673-1733). – A few minor defects (joints of vol. I partly splitting, bindings sl. soiled, lower blank corner of leaf D4 in vol. II torn off, sl. waterstained in lower blank margin at the end of vol. II, small burnt hole in outer blank margin of pp. 781-782 in vol. II, both vols. partly foxed/ browned throughout), but nevertheless an acceptable set.
