Three famille verte plates with the figure of Mu Guyiying

Kangxi period, ca. 1700, China

Painted in the famille verte palette, featuring Mu Guyiying wearing long feathers on her head on horseback, a soldier with a flag on foot, and in the foreground the upper half of a tent is seen. The panels in the border filled with running soldiers and florals. On the reverse two flower sprays. These plates are not marked.

Six plates of this design are in the Groninger Museum collection in The Netherlands (inv. no. 1945-159). Another plate is in the collection of the Rijksmuseum in Amsterdam (illustrated in the catalogue of the collection).

Rim fritting. One plate has a hairline. No other damage and no restoration.
