Three large Ming/Transitional blue and white bowls

17th. century, China

Three heavily damaged large bowls, two of which are decorated to the inside centre with depictions of Huang Tao P'o who according to legend introduced improved weaving techniques to China, the inner walls of the bowls are decorated with depictions of an old wise man accompanied by his servant. The other bowl adorned with depictions of a European-looking landscape with figural and floral decorations.

Two bowls extensively repaired. One bowl with several cracks and a wedge missing from the rim.
