Complete set of the scarce second (abridged) edition of the reminiscences by Lady Sophia Raffles-Hull (1786-1858) concerning the life & works of her husband Sir Thomas Stamford Bingley Raffles (1781-1826). The first edition was publ. in 1830. – A few small defects (inner hinges of vol. II broken, both vols. with owner’s entry (dated 1860) in black ink on title, 1 map partly torn on folds, occ. sl. foxed/ browned), but nevertheless in a good interior condition.
