"I draw flowers every day and send them to my friends so they get fresh blooms every morning.”

This beautiful print features a cheery blue vase of pink tulips opening and bending towards the light on a simple grey surface. Reminiscent of the artist's minimal sketches and line work, this piece is classic Hockney. Flowers provided a constant source of inspiration for Hockney, who created many floral still lifes. This print was published in 1970 for the artist's retrospective at the Whitechapel Art Gallery, London.
