A German silver Kiddush cup for festival (Yom Tov)

Octagonal cup, each panel engraved with flowerheads alternating with rocaille, the inside showing gilt traces, on knopped stem, terminating in round raised base. The lip engraved with contemporary Hebrew inscription relating to the Kiddush ceremony on Yom Tov's (festival) morning. Maker Joseph Tobias Herzebik, Augsburg, 1761-1763. H. ca. 14 cm.
