A pair of polychrome Sceaux faience vases and covers

France, 18th century, marked SP, Sceaux Penthièvre.

Of baluster shape on a square foot with handles in the shape of ram's heads and decorated with romantic scenes in cartouches, flower sprigs and moulded garlandsand foliage on a fish scale background. (2)

H 45 cm.

Purchased by the present owner at Mak van Waaij Amsterdam Auctions in September 1966.
