A lounge chair. Executed by: EMS (Eerste Mechanische Stoelenfabriek in Overschie, The First Mechanical Chair Factory & My Home interior design store Van Pelt in The Hague). Chrome-plated tubular steel, the hemp seat fully restored.

Provenance: Mr. R.A. Hoogland, a medical practitioner in Utrecht was befriended to G. Rietveld who advised him to furnish his medical practice and his family home with tubular steel furniture, including Bauhaus furniture.
