Engr. panoramic bird’s-eye view (printed on 4 leaves) with cartouche & decorated borders. (Publ. by C. Elandt, after 1681). Ca. 22 x 120 cm.

¶ Van der Haer p. 113: “Bovenstuk van de kaart van C. Elandts, 1681, in vier gedeelten, [..] vanuit het Zuiden gezien [..]”. Rare large-sized profile view of The Hague printed on 4 separate leaves (each with a watermark of a fleur-de-lis & Roman numbers or letters “VI”) which was originally published as part of a large-sized wall-map by the Dutch cartographer Cornelis Elandt (1641-1687). Our copy probably a re-issue publ. in Pieter van der Aa’s “La Galerie Agréable du Monde” (Leiden, ca. 1728). – Vertical folds (as publ.), sl. foxed/ browned (due to off-setting), but else in good condition (printed with wide margins).
