A Balinese carved wood sculpture of a Kebyar Duduk dancer

Mid 20th century.

A male stylised dancer in a seated position, holding a fan in his right hand. The Kebyar Duduk (duduk meaning to sit) is a seated and half seated dance invented by the dancer I Mario who performed it in 1925 for the first time. He was inspired by the quick paved Gong Kebyar
