A Dutch longcase clock

1760-1780, The Netherlands.

In an eighteenth century burr walnut veneered oak case, the door with mirroring veneer, de sides veneered in the length of the trunk. The openworked trellis of the hood renewed. The dial face with silvered cypher rings, date- and moonindication, the striking mechanism with on and off option, twelve melodies and moonindictation, elaboratly decorated dial face, signed by the German: Joh. Hendrik Wiedeking, Utrecht. Struck on full- and half hours. With thirteen chimes, eight day going train, driven with weights and on waltzes. The overall requires maintenance.
