A set of six beechwood dining chairs, 1900 Each with a richly carved backrest carved with two shorebirds, the tapering splat with pierced whiplash lines, above a padded seat covered in blue fabric, the seat supported by two diagonal stretchers, the legs joined by an H-shaped stretcher.
These chairs were part of the suite of furniture made in Art nouveau style for De Nieuwe of Littéraire Sociëteit De Witte, a private club in the centre of The Hague.

Jacob Feeterse jr.
A collection of objects: a copper inkwell, a pair of brass and pewter candlesticks, and a brass wall applique, ca. 1900-1910. Designed and executed by Feeterse himself. The pieces match the style of his contemporary, Jan Eisenloeffel (1876-1957). Together with several works on paper related to Feeterse: an album of photographs of objects designed by Feeterse between 1903 and 1904; the publication "Atelier voor Dec. Kunst 'Het Huis'" issued by the eponymous studio established at Kerkstraat 310-314 in Amsterdam; and a blueprint from 1905 featuring designs of several small objects, with pencil drawings to the reverse, possibly by Feeterse himself. The publication features designs by Feeterse on page 1, such as the inkwell in this lot.

Opus 1468, a mahogany fireplace surround with bookcases, 1915 The right protruding section with a rectangular moulded cornice above an empty frame and a clock decorated with symbolic snail ornaments, above three further open compartments and a panelled niche, flanked on either side by four open shelves, a drawer, and a panelled door, the left section with a moulded rectangular cornice above four shelves, and a pair of panelled doors. Together with a section of mahogany panelling from the same interior.
These pieces were ordered by Samuel Minkenhof (1879-1956), for the interior of his house at Borneolaan 21 in Hilversum. Minkenhof was the owner of the trading company S. Minkenhof & Co.

The table was originally designed in 1917 for the home of Henry J. Allen, the governor and state senator for Kansas. The design of the chairs dates from 1937, based on an original design dating from 1904.

An English iron-bound oak travelling or silver chest, in Dutch Royal service
Second half 19th century The chest reinforced by nailed iron straps, the domed lid opening to reveal a plain interior, with brass plate bearing the inscription "Sa Majesté Le Roi des Pays-Bas/ No. 6".
This chest is one of a set that was used by the Dutch Royal Household under William III (1870-1890) during state visits abroad. These chests carried the tableware that was used for the dinner offered by the household to the host party. This particular chest "no. 6" was used to transport a vase and saltshakers, which were secured by means of a mould.

Late 19th century The shaped back with a crest carved with foliate ornaments, the padded back, arms, and seat covered in green velvet, on castors, stamped to the underside with the royal monogram of Queen consort Emma of Waldeck and Pyrmont (Emma, Koningin-regentes der Nederlanden) (1858-1934). The chair was originally part of the furnishings of the Queen consort, most probably at Lange Voorhout Palace (Paleis Lange Voorhout) in The Hague.
